About a quarter of the CDs have been remastered in 24bit, 96kHz quality, and those sound quite good compared to earlier CD issues and the original LPs. The Bach St Johns Passion is, apparently, a first release on CD. The recordings are all typical Decca quality, which is to say quite good/5(42).

Lux Aeterna Gates of Winter. Write your own review. Atmospheric and capable, yet a bit dull. - 64% Gates Of Winter manages to pack a lot of sprawling, cold, and emotive metal into its songs. This isn’t an album I could listen to with any frequency, but it is quite singular in sound. -Burning Kingdom II- Heavenly Insurgence.

Ekkehard Ehlers has posted 11 live recordings from the Lux Aeterna festival on Soundcloud, including The Wire contributor Mark Fisher’s lecture Birth, School, Work, Death And Music, which looks at hauntology both aurally, with reference to Burial and Ghost Box, and also the sociological state of the nation, with ideas drawn from his book Capitalist Realism.
